Kurukali, 17th January 2025 – The IQAC of Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya, Kurukali, in collaboration with the IQAC of Shivaji University, Kolhapur, successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Paris-Sparsh Yojana and NAAC Attributes” on 17th January 2025. The workshop aimed to provide detailed insights into the Paris-Sparsh Yojana and the updated NAAC accreditation framework.
The workshop commenced at 11:00 AM, with the program being inaugurated by the Chairperson of the event, Dr. D.A. Chougale, Principal of Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya. The auspicious presence of Dr. N.M. Patil further graced the event. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. D.K. Dalavi, NAAC Coordinator at Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya, and the introductory remarks were made by him, welcoming the participants and explaining the workshop’s objectives.The resource person for the session was Dr. N.V. Pawar, IQAC Coordinator at New College, Kolhapur, who was introduced by Dr. R.S. Kamble. Dr. Pawar discussed key aspects of the NAAC accreditation process, specifically focusing on the new binary assessment model and the ten attributes of NAAC accreditation. He provided a detailed explanation of the following topics:
- NAAC and the binary assessment system for colleges.
- The new 10 attributes of NAAC.
- Insights into the new benchmarks for NAAC assessment.
- Detailed information about the new attributes, such as Curriculum Design, Faculty Resources, Infrastructure, Financial Resources and Management, Learning and Teaching, Extended Curricular Engagements, Governance and Administration, Student Outcomes.
- Documentation practices according to the new attributes.
- The new binary NAAC assessment system and its implications.
- Approaches for colleges in the context of NAAC.
- Benchmarking management in NAAC preparation.
The workshop was anchored by Prof. Vandana Patil, who kept the program running smoothly. After the insightful session, the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. R.G. Kashyap, acknowledging the contributions of all participants and the resource person.Various mentee colleges’ IQAC coordinators, IQAC members, and college teachers attended the workshop, making it a highly informative and successful event.
The workshop provided a platform for educational professionals to enhance their understanding of the updated NAAC attributes and accreditation system, which will help them prepare better for the future accreditation process.
