भुवनेश्वर, २२ जानेवारी २०२५ – KIIT युनिव्हर्सिटी, भुवनेश्वर येथे दिनांक १९ ते २२ जानेवारी दरम्यान पार पडलेल्या अखिल भारतीय अंतर विद्यापीठ रग्बी स्पर्धेमध्ये शिवाजी विद्यापीठ, कोल्हापूरच्या संघाने दमदार कामगिरी केली. रग्बीच्या 7’s साइड प्रकारामध्ये सुवर्णपदक आणि 15’s साइड प्रकारामध्ये कास्यपदक मिळवून शिवाजी विद्यापीठाने आपल्या खेळाडूंच्या सामर्थ्याचा उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन केला.
या ऐतिहासिक कामगिरीमध्ये भोगावती महाविद्यालयाच्या चार खेळाडूंनी विशेष योगदान दिले. नेहा पाटील, प्राची पताडे, पूजा लाड आणि मयुरी कदम यांनी शिवाजी विद्यापीठाच्या रग्बी संघाचे प्रतिनिधित्व करत राष्ट्रीय स्पर्धेमध्ये महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका बजावली. त्यांच्या उत्कृष्ट खेळामुळे संघाला यश मिळाले आणि त्यांनी विद्यालयाच्या नावाला उंचावले.
या संघाच्या प्रशिक्षक मंडळात मुख्य प्रशिक्षक म्हणून श्री. दीपक पाटील, सहाय्यक प्रशिक्षक प्रा. राहुल लहाने आणि टीम मॅनेजर श्री. सुहास वाघ यांचे मार्गदर्शन महत्वाचे ठरले. त्यांच्या अथक प्रयत्नांचा आणि मार्गदर्शनाचा परिणाम म्हणून संघाने या प्रतिष्ठित स्पर्धेमध्ये उत्तम कामगिरी केली.
शिवाजी विद्यापीठाच्या रग्बी संघाच्या या यशाबद्दल त्यांचे कौतुक केले जात असून, भोगावती महाविद्यालयाच्या खेळाडूंनी आपल्या कार्यक्षेत्रात दाखवलेले सामर्थ्य हे प्रेरणादायी आहे. विद्यार्थ्यांच्या क्रीडा क्षेत्रातील अशी प्रगती आणि योगदान महत्त्वाची आहे आणि भविष्यात अशा प्रकारच्या स्पर्धेत अधिक यश मिळवण्याची आशा आहे. महाविद्यालयाचे क्रीडा संचालक प्रा. राहुल लहाने यांच्या मार्गदर्शनात भोगावती महाविद्यालयाचे रग्बी खेळाडू हे चमकदार कामगिरी करत आहेत.

Bhubaneswar, 22nd January 2025 – In the All India Inter-University Rugby Championship held at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, from 19th to 22nd January, the Shivaji University Kolhapur Rugby team showcased an outstanding performance. The team won the Gold Medal in the 7’s side category and the Bronze Medal in the 15’s side category, proving the strength and talent of the players.
Four players from Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya played a pivotal role in this historic achievement. Neha Patil, Prachi Patade, Pooja Lad, and Mayuri Kadam represented Shivaji University Rugby team in the national competition and played key roles. Their exceptional performance helped the team achieve success, and they brought pride to their college.
The success of the team can be attributed to the guidance of the coaching staff. The head coach, Mr. Deepak Patil, assistant coach, Prof. Rahul Lahane, and team manager, Mr. Suhas Wagh, provided crucial support and guidance. Their hard work and leadership were instrumental in the team’s success at this prestigious event.
